Waste exchange

What is the difference between “Available” and “Wanted” listings?

“Available” means the lister has material they want another party to recover or use. “Wanted” means the lister is seeking a specified material.

Complete answer

The answer

Both listing types should include enough detail to avoid unsuitable enquiries: material type, quantity, frequency, location, packaging, contamination limits and transport expectations.

A listing is a lead, not a guaranteed transaction. Parties still need to confirm specifications, price or cost, legal classification, documentation and transport.

What to do

  • Choose Available or Wanted accurately.
  • State quantity and quality clearly.
  • Confirm all commercial and legal terms directly with the counterparty.
