Privacy choices
Cookie Policy
WasteSpot uses essential browser storage for security and preferences. Optional analytics is not loaded before consent. When Google AdSense is active, Google may use cookies or other local storage for advertising, measurement, fraud prevention and, where permitted, personalization.
1. Cookies and browser storage
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
WSSESSID | Essential | Security session used for CSRF protection, local verification challenges and authenticated administration. | Browser session |
ws_consent | Essential preference | Stores whether the visitor accepted or rejected optional WasteSpot analytics. | Up to 180 days |
| Google Analytics identifiers | Optional analytics | Audience and usage measurement after explicit consent, only when Google Analytics is enabled in administration. | According to the configured Google Analytics settings |
| Google advertising cookies and local storage | Advertising / consent-controlled | When AdSense is active, Google and participating ad technology providers may use browser storage for ad delivery, frequency capping, fraud prevention, aggregated reporting and personalization where the visitor's choices and applicable law permit it. Non-personalized ads may still use storage for functions such as frequency capping and aggregated reporting. | Varies by Google service, regional settings and the visitor's choices |
2. Google services status
Google Analytics is configured for this deployment, but its script loads only after the visitor accepts analytics. Rejecting optional analytics leaves it disabled.
Google AdSense advertising is active on public content pages. WasteSpot does not load AdSense ad tags on its legal and privacy policy pages.
3. Advertising consent and privacy choices
For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, WasteSpot uses a Google-certified consent management flow through Google Privacy & messaging when AdSense advertising is enabled. The Google message can present consent choices for advertising purposes and ad technology providers. Google may also provide region-specific privacy controls in other jurisdictions.
The WasteSpot Cookie settings button below controls optional Google Analytics only. Advertising choices are managed through the Google privacy controls displayed on eligible AdSense pages. Where Google provides a revocation or privacy-options entry point, it can be used to change advertising choices later.
More information is available in Google's advertising technologies information and Google Privacy Policy.
4. Change or withdraw WasteSpot analytics consent
Use the button below at any time. Rejecting analytics updates the WasteSpot preference immediately. Deleting browser cookies will cause WasteSpot to ask again on a later visit.
5. Essential storage
Essential session and security storage cannot be switched off through the preference panel because it is required to provide report verification, prevent request forgery, moderate content and protect the service. A visitor can still block or delete it in browser settings, although parts of the service may stop working.
6. Browser controls
Most browsers can display, delete or block cookies for a specific website. Browser-level blocking operates independently from WasteSpot's preference panel and from Google privacy controls.
